Hebrew Reading / Aleph Champ
The Aleph Champion Program© is on the cutting edge of Hebrew reading today. Modeled after the Karate/Martial Arts motivational system, it works by dividing different reading skills into levels defined by color. The Aleph Champ keeps the children self motivated and enthused to climb the ranks and become a black aleph champion.
Students understand that their teacher is a black aleph champion and their goal is to reach that level.
Hebrew Writing
Learn how to write Hebrew like a pro! Classes will teach you the letters of the Hebrew Alphabet in its written form.
Jewish History
In order to know where one is headed, one must know from whence one came. We will cover the historical facts, starting with the matriarchs and patriarchs all the way through modern history.
Torah Lessons
The children are introduced to Torah (Bible) starting with an understanding of Breishit's (Genesis) storyline. The Biblical narrative is taught in an interactive way to bring the information to life. It is a fantastic curriculum with stories and practical lessons for today.
Jewish Values
Bring real-life relevance to key Jewish concepts, demonstrating how Torah’s lessons are applicable to the students’ actual lives. Learn through the many different mitzvot how to treat your surroundings according to torah.
Walk of Fame
This course focuses on the lives of particular Biblical personalities, enabling the students to brush up on history basics as well as glean real life-lessons from these famous people. For example, the lesson on Josef focuses on how to maintain one's moral fiber in an amoral environment.
The Land of Israel
Discover the many unique places in the Holy Land with this virtual tour! Lessons will present fascinating historical facts and stories about the land, providing a sense of familiarity with the Land of Israel.
My Jewish Home
My Jewish Home is designed to discuss the ins and outs of creating a Jewish home, such as Kosher, hospitality, mezuzah, etc.
Holidays
Familiarize yourself with the Jewish calendar, including origin, customs, and reasons for the holidays of the Jewish yearly cycle. Curriculum includes crafts and hands-on activities to maximize the learning experience.
Kavanah Counts
This course delves into the meanings and design behind the weekday and Shabbat prayers. The lessons also include a general overview of synagogue dynamics and structure.
Life Cycles ( Ages 10+)
We aim to familiarize the student with the Torah’s perspective of the important events in the Jewish life cycle, and to give them a working understanding of each specific ceremony's nuts and bolts.
